| My Yorkie Has Vaginitus WHY Why does a yorkie get vaginitus? My baby girl was wetting on the carpet so I thought she had a bladder infection. I felt so bad for her because she does not understand so off to the vet right away. Her urine was fine so our doctor took her temp and she had a fever. He then took a smear from her vagina and came back in to tell me she had vaginitus. He put her on Clavamox and the next morning what a relief for her. Kinder is five years old now and we had her spayed before her first heat.My husband and I love her so........much and we were wondering why she got this. I wash her bottom and always keep her clean. She goes to the groomer once a month and he keeps her trimmed in the delicate area. Is this a common thing to happen? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I would wonder if somehow her flora was off / became unbalanced. I'd probably give her a probiotic. I like the ones from Natures Farmacy.
