OH MY!! :) nice photos!! |
Ahh, how sweet she is looking. The doctor did a good job on the incision. I bet she is happy to have that onesie off of her. I hope it will be all on and upwards from now on for Bella, you and your wife. Hopefully once this is over and a distance memory, you can talk your wife into Bella's future sister or brother ;) |
Has everything been worked out for your pup? Just wondering. I have had a scare this week... My Bruiser has yelped in pain while just sitting ... Cannot figure out what is causing the pain bursts. Took him to vet this am. Checked all joints and back and neck... Didn't find anything suspicious. He didn't do X-rays... But gave Hume some anti inflammatory meds, and said to keep still and lots of rest. If he continues to to cry intermittently I will take him back for X-rays. So hard to watch. |
So far, she is acting like a perfectly happy little pup. We go back for her one month check up this Thursday where we will see if her liver seems to be waking up. But either way, we have had no more episodes of her acting other than normal, so we are really optimistic. I hope to put the final entry in this thread soon saying that she is the happy, healthy pup that I promised her she would be. |
Who is your vet? |

For her specialist stuff, we go to the University of Florida small animal hospital where Dr. Wallace works her magic. Nothing but the highest praise for that place! |

Will be saying a prayer that today's visit gives positive results |
I'm also praying for a great report. |

Sorry guys, Retail Management... crappy hours! Bella went for her post op yesterday and things look good. Her bile acid level is still high, but due to the way this surgery is intended to work by slowly closing the shunt, that is expected. Her scar is almost non existant, she has gained weight and is now actually is over 3 lbs. I am starting to believe that she might make standard. We continue on the same regimen for the time being, go back at 3 months post op to see if the liver looks like it is waking up. Guinness - Dr. Nik is in Ponte Vedra right off of A1A where the Ponte Vedra Publix is at. Right where the ATP offices are. He is a Yorkie guy who has owned and bred them. He is great with Bella. He also goes to St. Bernard Animal Hospital there at Dog town off of San Jose by the river. |

And thank you tons for the vet info... I HATE Dog Town but I need a new vet and as luck has it Dog Town is at the end of my road. |
