Here is my thread about Max and his icky tapeworm: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...tapeworms.html As others have commented, eating a flea is usually the cause. We didn't have any sign of fleas, so must have ingested one outside on our walks. |

it's sad what our furbabies come up with :-( |
Hope you got a hold of your vet and the furkid gets rid of them soon! |

You will have to take him to the vet, my pup was full of large ones and it took two treatments from the vet. Make sure you dont waste your money trying to get rid of them yourself because it just doesnt work. It is much cheaper in the long run to have the vet give you the good stuff. |
That is really scary!!!!! Was he eating a lot ? I always heard a person eats and cant get full when they have one. |
The newer Sentinel Spectrum has tapeworm preventive in it. Sentinel Spectrum is a Heart worm preventive that also covers I believe 6 different types of worms and now has the added tape worm preventive in it. |

He has been eating normal and I would have never thought he still had worms because he just got a deworm shot about 3-4 weeks ago. |

I was just reading the same thing online. After I am done with the Heartgard Plus I think I will be making the switch to Sentienl Spectrum. |
