| Tummy ache? This is not an emergency situation but I don't know where else to post. Yesterday I took my 10 week old yorkie to a boutique pet store for a valentine photo special they had going on. The photographer gave her a few treats during her session. She was fine all day until last night she was sleeping next to me on the couch and started hacking until a fairly large piece (for her) came out. I noticed before we went to bed that she was squatting a bunch trying to pee and nothing would happen. At 330am I could hear her making vomiting sounds and got up to check on her and there was a little bit of foamy looking stuff. We went back to bed after that and this morning she laid around, not her perky morning self. I think its just a belly ache from the treats but I'm debating on wether we should go to the vet being the weekend is here. She has urinated a couple of times this morning and ate a little. Since then she has perked up some and is playing with a toy. What would you do? |

YT 500 Club Member | You said a fairly large piece came out when she was hacking> What exactly came out? Maybe she was having a reaction to the treat. Does she have diarhea or is she still hacking now? Has she ever hacked before this? |

| It was a piece of the treat which appeared to be some kind of dried chicken. No diareah and no hacking prior to this. No hacking so far today. . |

| I would watch her closely for another day and make sure she is peeing and pooping.. Maybe a piece of the dried chicken is stuck and just has to digest properly. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I wouldn't be so worried about the tummy perhaps...but the struggle to pee is concerning bc she could have a UTI or something. I'd take her in asap if this isn't improving.
