Oh my this is horrible! It's very frustrating to know your baby is so sick and not know why! I'm sure they've tested for parvo? I really hope they can get to the bottom of this and he gets to come home soon!

I don't know if they tested for parvo, but he's vaccinated for it, never been around other dogs or outside where other dogs have been, so they didn't even bring it up. I don't think he was showing symptoms of parvo for it to be a concern.

MJ's glucose levels have been stable the last two days. Just waiting for his diarrhea to clear up so we can do one more liver test. Poor guy starts shaking when we walk up to the vets door.

Looks like MJ has a shunt in his liver. More testing needed, probably surgery, as well.

Well, he's alive. Lol He does NOT have a liver shunt, thank God!!! But they're thinking his liver is just too small causing low blood sugar and he might out grow it at 1 year old. That means I have to continue waking up every 2 hours to feed him for the next 6 months. It's just hard. I'm used to getting 11 hours of sleep a night, now I'm lucky if I get 4.
