| PLE/digestion problems I have a 2 year old Yorkie who took really ill a couple of months back and was in the vets for a week. However she managed to pull through and has been great up until yesterday. She's not on any meds, however she is on a special diet (Virbac digestion) from the vets, she seems to have gone off this food, but it's vital she eats it so to prevent vomiting and diarrhoea as she doesn't seem to digest other foods too well. The vet explained she MAY have Protein losing entreopathy. This morning we woke up to Sick and diarrhoea and Bonnie seems to have lost a lot of weight overnight, she's also lost her energy and her bark. Any advice at all on what we could feed her and if we should feed her so soon after being ill, also what would be easy to digest? any feedback at all will be appreciated. Thanks |

| It would be good to have a definite diagnosis. The only way to really do that is with a scope. For now, I strongly encourage you to get her to the vet ASAP. This disease can be dreadful if not addressed immediately. Once the pups get really ill and lose their appetites, it is often hard to save them. Diet is very important, but they also need medications...usually an antibiotic and steroids. My Cookie has lymphangectasia. Here is her thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...ia-update.html Maybe there will be something there to help you. Please keep us posted!
