Praying that all is going well with after her surgery yesterday. Praying she is back home soon. |
I was not implying that your vet was incompetent...sorry if it came off that way. If anything, I was the one to blame for letting Momo suffer for a whole week. I couldn't make up my mind, whether to go in for exploratory surgery & whenever I did make up my mind, the vet suggested other meds they can try. I guess the reason I told my story is to 'not delay surgery', if there's any obstruction. Your vet did the right thing, to go in & get things moving...praying for Mylee & hoping for good news! |
Any word today how Mylee is doing? |

Fingers & toes crossed and still praying Mylee comes home soon! |
Praying everything is good with Mylee and you. |
I'm all good with everyone here, I promise!!:hug: I very very much appreciate all the well wishes and support of any kind, because we all understand how stressful it is when one of our pups is sick. I do have a lot of confidence in my vet/clinic, but I'm still waiting to hear. I'm disappointed I have not heard anything. This is just not like them. My vet was out for a couple hours but should be back by now. I was waiting to post thinking I'd have an answer by now. So, I'm hoping once I post this I'll get that call to come get her. |
Well, she has to stay another day. She's still vomiting. I have no idea what she could possibly have gotten in to. What ever was hanging up in her gut has moved through though and is in her colon and the vet feels good about that, but they won't let her come home until she stops vomiting.:cry: |
Mylee You poor thing, I can imagine this delay is really stressing you out. Poor little Mylee, so sorry she still has an upset tummy. The good news is that the solid matter that caused the obstruction is in the colon and on the way out. It could be that what she swallowed was toxic and some effects of its absorption still remain. Now the material is in the colon and will soon be gone, I am sure she will get well very soon as whatever it was is expelled or processed. So try not to worry, she is in good hands and they will do what is needed to make her feel well again. Prayers for you and Mylee, and hoping you get good news soon. |

Poor little Mylee! I'm hoping this is all over soon and she can go home with you where she belongs! |
I hope Mylee will be well and back home soon. Sending prayers. |
Poor Mylee and poor Shelly. Sending prayers she is at home with you soon and all better having passed that blockage. |

Don't worry about the vet's office - they must may be very, very busy. Friday nights can be so hectic for them as people who have put off taking their sick or injured dogs into the vet all week panic before the weekend and "rush" their dogs into the vet after work when they get home on Friday afternoon and evening. I'll bet your hear soon. |
I'm sorry that Mylee couldn't come home tonight. We are praying for her to get better. It's great news that it has passed into her colon. I know you are lost without Mylee, and I feel so bad for both of you. I will anxiously await for the news that she is back home in your arms. |
I am sorry to hear she has to spend another night at the vet. Praying Mylee will be ready to come home tomorrow and that she will recover quickly. |
:( oh my gosh I was hoping to here she was home. But guess she is where she needs to be till she is all better Keeping you and her in my prayers. |
Praying that Mylee will pass whatever is yucky in her little body and come home to you soon where she belongs. I know it's hard to have them away from you and you feel like your helpless but better safe than sorry. Hopefully she will be all better tomorrow and home in your arms. |
So sorry to see lil Mylee is still at the vet. Praying she passes what ever this is, stops vomiting and is able to come home tomorrow. |
Praying that Mylee will be better in the morning and going home!! |
sending good thoughts |
Sending healing thoughts and good wishes to both you and little Mylee. I hope she is home in your arms very soon, healthy and happy. |
Prayers continue for Mylee. I pray she is able to come home today. |
Hoping to read Mylee is home today. Keeping you all in prayers |
I just got a call from my vet. Mylee is more active today and wanting out of her kennel, but, they gave her some food and she vomited some again. Not all of it just a little. They say she has to stay on IV fluids until she can keep her food down. If she's feeling more herself she'll be chewing right through that IV. They feel she is making progress just not as quickly as we'd like. This is becoming more frustrating by the hour. |
Shelly, do they have her on Cerenia or another med for vomiting? If whatever it is that was causing a problem is in the colon, is it possible she is vomiting for another reason? Maybe pancreatitis? Might want to ask them about that. I cannot imagine if that stuff has moved along, she would still be nauseous, but I don't know??? |
Shelly, I am praying Mylee will be getting better and be home soon. Glad to hear she is more active. |

Mylee Poor baby, she is having a hard time of it, and so are you. I hate to be gross but did they recover the material that caused the trouble when it came out…if it did? It could be a toxic weed eaten along with the grass or as you suggest, some garden spray from the neighbor. But often any gut issues can take time for the tum to settle down. Hoping she gets better soon and that she will be home with you and you will feel better too. Thanks for the updates, which we hope will be happier soon. |
Praying for little Mylee still. I'm so sorry she's still having some problems but hopefully she'll turn the corner soon. Are her x-rays/sonograms clear now? |

Hopefully, this is simply the obstruction and will settle down soon. I am praying for both fo you. I know how stressful it is to have such a sick one. |
So sorry to hear she is not bouncing back quicker. Poor baby. Sending prayers her way, I know you must be so frustrated and worried. |
