| Vomiting My 4 year old Yorkie retches when he eats. Been going on for about 3 months. About 1-2 times a week he vomits...most recently twice this week in the middle of the night. ER vet checked for obstruction, found none. X-rays were negative, she said he is in good health. Local vet changed dog food, but no change in dog's behavior. What the heck is going on? Jon |

| You should see a different vet. It might be acid reflux or food allergies or a lot of things. They should do more test/examinations.

| Speak with your vet about doing bile acid testing. MVD and liver shunt can cause GI issues/frequent vomiting.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | That's great , really good news. In addition to having a blood panel to check liver/kidneys etc - I'd discuss the possibility of reflux, and using Reglan to help w/ it if suspected.
