| My Lil Miss has a rash... 2 nights ago she was up all night scratching!!!! In the morning to discover that her stomach and hind leg creases and front legs were red' inside ears were pinky, and she was itchy and in plenty of discomfort. We took her to the vet yesterday and was given VANECTYL-P ... 1/2 pills 2x's a day for 3 days, taper down to 1/2 pill 1 daily to 1/4 for the remainder... Has anyone had any luck with this medication, we're only 1 day in but finding chunks of hair from her scratching while we sleep... It's definitely helping with her being more comfortable. And she is getting rest unlike that first night. We cook for her no store bought food, nothing changed in her diet, the only thing the day before we did was wash the floor with the wet jet, and sprayed fabreeze... Wondering if and hoping it was a sensitivity to one of these products which both have now been removed and rewashed of the scents. Has anyone had similar situation and how long did this rash take to subside? The vet also said it could be seasonal allergies... ( poor girl feel for her when she's itchy, agony.... Thanks for any info... |

YT Addict | I don't know the ingredients in the wet jet, but I have heard it is harmful to pets. You should read the label for warnings. My dogs like to lick the floor especially in the kitchen. Also, could be food allergies. Mine was allergic to preservatives and grains in the food, Switched to grain free preservative free, no problems. Also milk bones or treats with wheat products cause skin rashes. |
