| ![]() For the last month my Enzo (19 months/11lbs) has been suffering with horrible allergies ![]() He is scheduled for surgery on Monday. The vet will remove the lump & send it away to get tested. Tonight, while brushing him I felt at least 4 or 5 little bumps scattered on his body - I'm frightened ![]()

| ![]() Praying for Enzo and you that the lump will be benign. There are several members here whose dogs have had similar things and they have been benign. Here is one example: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/4401303-post6.html And another: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...adas-lump.html

| ![]() Do you think the two are related? Allergies & these lumps?

| ![]() I do not have a lot of experience in the allergy department. I'm sure members who do will post tomorrow. I will say that our pollen here is terrible this spring and Teddy had a terrible day this week that required Benadryl. He was reverse sneezing, then regular sneezing. The pollen is even getting to me, and usually I am unaffected. We had to stay indoors for a couple days for Teddy to recover.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() Not necessarily. If they were related, the spot wouldn't likely be a "lump" or raised, but just a red crusty area that was infected w/ overgrown bacteria. It's very possibly just a sebaceous or follicular cyst. As for allergies, they are very complicated and can be extremely frustrating to treat. Mainly, you want to figure out whether they're seasonal or year round, bc that really guides your treatment. I highly recommend seeing a Vet Derm bc in the end, they'll cost you wayyy less than repeat visits to your general vet to figure out allergies. | ![]() I'm guessing seasonal, it started about a month ago - sneezing, watery eyes etc.. The dry dead grass from winter seemed to aggrevate them. I've only had Enzo a year, so I can't be 100% sure though. The lumps are a head scratcher - the large one he is having removed on Monday is raised, flaky & itchy. Then there are random little bumps scattered on him that come & go, I'll notice some in one area, then they disappear & show up on another area of his body. His little underarms are red & irritated too.
