| Itchy tail/bum Hi, I have a 9.5 week old little girl, Piper, who just yesterday starting gnawing at herself. She's too short to be able to reach all around to her tail or back side but it is definitely bothering her. I've scratched for her and rubbed her tail for her and she seems fine for a little while then goes back to trying to bite it. She was at the vet on Monday and she was given a clean bill of health. Is this a normal stage? Maybe her tail is just itching from being docked?? Her poops are good and her bum looks clean and definitely not inflamed. Just thought I'd see if any of you have experienced this. Thanks Nikki |

| Sounds like fleas or allergies. I know last year we had an awful problem with fleas. I couldn't see the fleas but they were there. |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | I doubt fleas are out in the very cold of Edmonton Alberta, but allergies it could be, also giardia. Poo sample sent into vet if not already sent in.
