| ![]() Deer ticks are gross and they are out right now. I found two on Bubba last night, removed them and have them in a jar of alcohol to take to the vet today. Bubba was on ABX last year because his blood work showed exposure to Lyme Disease. Sissy is clean, checked her last night. The only place they could have picked them up is my backyard or the dog park. They get monthly frontline but aren't due until the 7th but since I found the ticks I dosed them anyhow. I usually check them once a day when they are brushed so I hope I found it early.

YT Addict | ![]() One of the signs of lyme disease s a target type redness ring usually under the arm pits. Also check the skin for pinkness pritikia (spelling). Means bleeding through the skin. I went through lyme with my female yorkie. Sometimes it takes some time for the target to show up. |

YT Addict | ![]() My yorkie had a red target under her arms in the armpit area. She had no symptoms until her legs collapsed and she became weak. Take her to the vet and have a blood panel done. Lyme has long term affects on the organs and immunity. The longer you wait the more severe the treatment and long term side effects. Good luck |

And after I pull a tick off him, there tends to be a little red spot, or it'll have a bump for about a week after.
