| ![]() Give her some Nutrical or pancake syrup, and try to hand feed her to get something in her. Is she up and about at all?

| ![]() I would try and entice her to eat and drink if you cannot I may contact the vet just to be sure there is nothing more they suggest. and I agree with kat. maybe try a lil plain cooked chicken pulled finely apart mixed in with some kibble and warm water. hope she gets better real soon.

| ![]() Yes, then get some Nutrical or similar into her, followed by some kind of protein. Offer small amounts to start, and a small amount of water. If she was on an IV during her spay she may not take the water. If her gums are sticky she will need to take some water though. Keep her warm also.

| ![]() I've made her some soft chicken and rice soup, which she refuses to eat. She's taken a few bites and that was it. I've also been feeding her by syringe water. She has been tucked in and warm for the most of the day...and she has just only peed for the second time today. |

| ![]() Pain meds can suppress the appetite. This pup is still feeling the effects of the anesthesia, IMO.

| ![]() Did she have her spay and sent home in the same day or was she kept overnight? It sounds to me like she is still in the recovery process from the anesthesia from the surgery. If she seems comfortable and is resting offer her food and water but if she refuses she just seems a little more time for recovery. As for discontinuing pain meds, that is really not a good idea. It's proven that relief of pain promoted quicker healing. She just needs a little more time to metabolize the anesthesia from her spay.
