| ![]() Yay! After she gets over the affects of the surgery, I bet you'll see that she is walking much better.

| ![]() That's great! She will probably be back to her usual self by tonight or tomorrow morning. I think she will probably walk much better with the pins out. I noticed an instant improvement in Buster.

| ![]() Bella is home now, and wanting to run around like her usual self. I've blocked off the stairs so she can't follow me up. She is walking on her leg, but lifts it to run and to potty--I'm sure that will improve with time. She had laser surgery, and the charge was $126. Her stitches come out in two weeks, and I'm to put a collar on her if she licks or bites at her stitches, but so far she is ignoring her stitches, and you would never know she even had surgery this morning. I think I'm suffering more than she is, LOL! They also shaved very little off her legs, so she still looks well-groomed. More updates later! |

| ![]() Bella is walking much better already--her leg is down the vast majority of the time now. I'm pretty confident that she will make a full recovery from her MPL surgery. Now if only we can keep her from bouncing off the walls until she gets her stitches out! The incision is very very small, only a few millimeters long, and is held closed by a small knot of stitches, two at the most. Last edited by pstinard; 05-23-2014 at 05:30 AM. |

| ![]() Just a quick update. It's been three months since surgery, and Bella has recovered fully from her MPL surgery and subsequent pin removal. She now uses her operated leg all of the time. I still exercise caution with her, and don't take quite such strenuous walks with her as I used to, since she has mild luxating patella in her other leg, but so far, so good. |
