| Help my new pups eyes are shifty? WHATS GOING ONvideo Attached at end)Got a Tiny pup last night and her eyes are shifty like Nystagmus,Her head wobbles some ,she is very calm ,but ate really good before bed and drank water really good. She is VERY smart litter trained at 8 weeks! anyone ever had our has a pup with shifty eyes like this is this Nystagmus. Is it something else worse? Is this something that is always going to be and she cant just grow out of it ?I have been around 8 week old pups never had one with shifty eyes??If i keep her I will defiantly be taking her to the vet. I got a Yorkie pup girl last night 1 pound Tiny ckc 8 weeks old ,But i meet the breeder at 8 pm last night was cold, dark even tho was near a light and she was so adorable I did a quick look over and had to have her $950$$ and was on my way home!!As soon as we got home(Held her whole way home she Never whimpered our made a peep slept happly in a baby blankie i brought in case I brought her home and heat was on blast in the truck and checked her every 10-15 minutes to make sure she was not over hot which she never got) around 9 pm I noticed her eyes Are shifty which is worrying me to death wondering if she could have Nystagmus !!!!! I gave the tiny pup the night last nigh to make sure that maybe she just wasn't sleepy and that's why her eyes were moving our maybe stressed out due to the bath the breeder gave her ,separation from her other siblings, her car ride to me and then now home? Stress related? Now I'm contemplating what to say to this breeder when calling the breeder soon and finding out what is going on here! She breeds s**tzu and yorkie CKC so maybe she had so many pups she didn't even notice this maybe Or did she sell me a sick pup for 950$$ Eventho she has the shifty eyes small head shaking she is very smart eats great and drinks great is responsive to sound and when I'm next to her so she can clearly see which Nystagmus I was told only allows them to see shadows ,but she can see for sure her litter box my hands my face when i move around when she chases my hand to play and play with her toys. Video although she is trying to fall a sleep in this video her eyes do this allot especially when focusing on me.Shifty Eyes Video by Kittah_Kat | Photobucket http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/e.../pupseyes1.jpg http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/e.../pupseyes2.jpg |

| Take this puppy to a vet IMMEDIATELY and get a professional diagnosis and health check on this baby, so you can accurately talk to the "breeder" that sold you a tiny baby under the cover of darkness. This "breeder" got her money....good luck finding her again or expecting anything from her. If she was ethical or responsible, she would have NEVER sold this pup like she was doing some undercover, illegal activity. Good luck with your new puppy. |

The lil pup has a appointment for tomorrow.I'm praying and crossing my fingers. Now that she has been up for a while now she has stopped the eye movements? Its just too weird to ignore I'm still taking her tomorrow as it could have been a number of thing toxicity, distemper,it goes on and on its worrying me to death. She is still doing really well though drinking lots of water and eating really good and continuing to use her litter box always she hasn't made a accident out of her litter box yet very smart and she is acknowledging me very well and responding to me.She even comes when i call her.I know she can see very well so I don't think it was affecting her sight and the vet tech feels the same. She is running all over the place right now I'm finding it hard to keep her mellow. She has defiantly made her self right at home and stolen my heart <3.

| That looks very disturbing. Why would she sell such a young puppy?

| We took lil BeBe to the vet blood work stool sample a good look over and she is healthy,Thank God.The vet was pretty sure her eyes rolling could have been stress related being so young. The bath the breeder had given her right before as well as the drive must have stressed her out.I still don't get the bath I told the women to not worry about a bath that it was cold that it was ok (and I thought I was still getting the 6 month pup )?I originally was told I was getting a 6 month old 3 pound silver and tan girl like my lil Pippin but she showed up with BeBe told me the silver and tan had found a home.First words out of me and my boyfriends mouth as the breeder walked over actually"O god that's not a 6 month old puppy that's a baby!!"a BAbby little baby! She is doing good though and a lil hyper playful happy little baby she never whines our anything which makes me wonder if she was left alone allot. She hasn't made an accident out of her litter box even and eats good, drinks her water. She is seriously the cleanest puppy I have ever had our seen <3.I'm still keeping an eye on her though, with camera ready vet said if she does it again to bring her back in,so far so good though. Her eyes are very alert not moving at all now not when focusing on me our anything else our even when she is tired they don't shift at all now.<3 Thank you all for the help It was so scary for me I'm glad I brought her to the vet and praying it was just stress like the vet is saying. |

| Glad to hear Bebe had a vet check and that she is doing well. The first picture looks like she was sleeping. Is that what she was doing? When my guys sleep, and their eyes are a little open (not ideal), I can see their eyes roll downward. If she does this while awake and standing, and has head bobbles, then that is a problem. Keep us updated.

The morning after bringing her home her eyes did it twice but wasn't anywhere near as often as it was the night before and at the vet she was fine no wobbling no eye shifting as well as today no wobbling our eye shifting.I'm home all day with her and her bed is right next to mine a round pen broke down to 4 panels with her litter box ,food and water ,toys her blankies .It makes no sense to me even now how our why it happened and then stopping all of a sudden?I showed the vet the video and after her blood work and everything and being their an hour our two with no signs of eye shifting with her playing and eating and acting normal he is pretty sure she was stressed out which caused it.Poor little baby It was awful made me feel awful Like if id just left her with the women since she wasn't the 6 month old puppy would it had made her last few days easier our worse who knows the women seemed nutty ,off ish.I do know small pups shouldn't leave home so soon , but it was so hard to turn her away right in my face so cute.I had no idea she was stressed she seemed calm but still mildly active, licking at my face and waging her little tail.I talked soft to her and was quiet no sudden movements our sounds. Its hard to believe a bath and a car ride could stress her out maybe the women was rough while bathing her in a hurry our she had some toxins moving through her that she passed before the vets seen her?I've never herd or seen of anything like it.

| very cute I think looks she like she is praying and saying thanks for getting me away from that shifty breeder. She is cute obviously this is not the best way to buy a puppy, but she is yours now. Hopefully you have dogged a bullet and she will be healthy, the first photos had me worried but in the video she looks so much more alert. Good thing you are home a lot these young little ones can take a turn pretty quickly. Lots of good reading here on the care of a very young pup. Bests wishes for your little girl
