I'm glad Barney is behaving normally and not bothered. I am also glad you have a good vet. We really like ours too, but there are still things that he would agree require a specialist. I didn't mean to alarm you above -- just wanted you to have as much info as possible. Praying the meds take care of this and that you see improvement quickly. Sending hugs to your little guy.

| Thank you for your thoughts. I hope he is better soon. It actually seems like it has gone down some and is a little softer than it was this afternoon. I will photo it in the morning to see if others think it looks smaller too. Sometimes I just see what I want to see and need second opinions. He rubs it on the carpet every now and then. But I don't know if this is his normal face rubbing stuff or if he is scratching. My brother in law said he thought he noticed him scratching at it last night when he was over.

| yesterday vs today Here is a pic comparing yesterday to today. The top is yesterday. The bottom is today. In my opinion, it's a little better. I am hoping it continues to go down and that we will avoid it popping open. I was wrong about his meds. He will take them for 10 days, not 5. My husband reminded me that when our son had staff, it got much worse before getting better. His eye is closed because of the flash. Otherwise, it hasn't been affected.

| Barney's cheek does look less puffy. Praying the antibiotics take care of this and that there isn't some underlying problem.

| Thank you for the prayers. I don't think he's in too much pain. He's been 100% yorkie stinker today. The family is loving every minute of it. Whatever it is, it seems to be improving. I hope it goes away and stays away.

| an update: Barney's eye is almost completely back to normal. I found swollen lymph nodes under his jaw Saturday evening, but they are going down also. He has 6 days of meds left. I will be watching him like a hawk to see if this mystery infection returns. I appreciate everyone's concerns and suggestions. Fortunately, the knot did not burst. Hopefully, this is the end of the Barney saga.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I'm so glad to hear Barney is getting over whatever this was. I pray it stays gone! There must be something in the air because Jasper has been a stinker himself these last few days. Goodness...

| I appreciate everybody's advice about his eye. I hope we are really this lucky and that it was just a random infection. Reading this section of YT scares me to death.

Max went through a lot of stuff with his eyes (all better now), and I regret learning all that I did. Praying Barney won't have anymore trouble.
