Olivia is sick again... :(
 

I just cannot believe this. :( My Olivia picked at her food in the morning yesterday...she does that sometimes. A bit later on I thought she smelled funny around her face as if she might have vomited, but didn't see anything. In the afternoon she did not want to eat at all....so I figured I would give her until this morning. Well...not only did she not eat but she was hiding out in a little dog house that I have in the family room.

Took her to my vet and while she felt gassy, she did not exhibit any pain. We tossed around the idea of whether to send labs our or do in house. Because of her history, I decided to do in house. OMG...she is a mess. :( All of her liver enzymes are elevated .. and her ALT is over 2,000 :( Her Bili is high and that is another worry because of her history of gall stones...she might have a blockage. :( Please God don't let that happen. Her temp is normal and her white count is fine. She has a history of gall stones...and cholangiohepatitis...here is an old thread for those who don't remember her:

I am just heartsick about this....my vet started her on fluids and I just came home to wait to hear something. My vet put in a call to GCVS .. I am fairly certain they will say to bring her in. :( :(

So sorry Linda.....hopefully this will just be a little flare up that can be resolved quickly and easily.....

Oh I SO hope so...but her liver enzymes have never really been elevated even when she was sick before. This is so worrisome. :(

Olivia is in ICU. They are doing tests...they are extremely concerned because her values are sky high. This could be anything from lymphoma to bile duct blocked...to cholangiohepatitis which she does have a history of but she has never had elevated liver enzymes like this :( . They did ask about any toxic substances, but Olivia gets into nothing at all. She is under my nose most of the time and if we go outside, she mostly stays on the patio. I won\'t know anything more until later this evening. They are doing an ultrasound and a possible needle aspirate if they see a lesion .. also doing a test for lepto which really is unlikely. She is in extremely capable hands at MyGCVS .. that I do know. If anyone can help her, they can. I am just sick over this. My sweet baby hates for anyone to touch her but her mom. :(
