Thank you everyone for your prayers....I am SO hopeful that she is improving. She definitely is looking like it!

I don't know if dogs are the same, but when I had Gall stones, food more often than not would make my stomach ache, so I really didn't feel like eating until I was extremely hungry.

Ursodial is a Bile Acid, and will work to dissolve the stones and help to thin the bile, just takes a little time...

I keep checking on your progress. So glad to hear she is eating more - mirtazapine for humans is great for that, did not know it could be used for pups also.

That was Kathy who suggested color coding! :)

Yes, Mirtazapine is used in dogs and cats and is amazing!

Praying for good test results for Olivia on Thursday, and for her to grow stronger.

I think your pups must be looking through a medical book you have lying around. They each find a page and condition that they can challenge you with. ;):) Hide the books.

Haha....reminds me of the time my son was babysitting for me and my pups were waking him up super early. He told me he was going to cover up all the clocks in the house. He swore that they can tell time. :D

Thinking about you and Olivia right now! Hoping all is well today. Hide the books and cover the clocks. Oh and make sure you put a shoval on the patio in case your pup finds another snake!! You do not want one of those darn things chasing you. Hope this makes you laugh!

Hahaha...how about a shotgun? One of my friends told me it was a coach whip snake...oh please they chase people and they are 4-5 feet long. All I could think was that this was a baby and mom was going to come get us. :eek:

I'm glad you're optimistic, but it's no wonder that you're worried because of your deep love for your pups. Looking at her photos really melted and touched my heart. I am an eternal optimist, but I also worry so much about those I care about. My sister good-naturedly teases me that, no matter how negative things may be, I always find something positive, too. I am really counting on a good report for Olivia today.

Olivia actually gained a few ounces!! :) They did blood work on her but I won't know anything until tomorrow ... he sent it out to the lab. He also had called on her lepto test and said they told him it will be in tomorrow. So...hopefully I will know more tomorrow.

A picture of Olivia with Dr. Manino at GCVS this morning. He has been taking care of Olivia since she was so sick back in October. I am so grateful to have such great vets in this area!

Well, only the labs will tell, but I am hopeful. She really does not act sick, but then when her labs were sky high last week she was active .. just did not have an appetite.

I am anxious for tomorrow to come! :)

Thanks, she had a pair of tutu pj's on. :) She started shaking as soon as we got to the door of GCVS....it makes me feel so bad.

Poor baby was probably wondering if she was going to be staying or going home with you. She is precious. Love the pic with her doc. I am very happy to hear she gained a few ounces.

Oh I know...when they brought her back to me after drawing the blood she got SO excited. Poor baby.

The specialist just called with Olivia's test results. The good news is that her ALT is down to 426!!!

Her lepto test was positive for one strain...right at the cutoff. He said that could be from an exposure or possibly from a vaccine before I adopted her. But.. I have had her since 2008 and I have never had her vaccinated for lepto.

Her UPC is up at 4 ... so he has increased her Enalapril. Thankfully, her B/P has been really good.

She will go back in three weeks to have her liver values repeated. She will also have a convalescent cytology done which will tell if she did/does have lepto. She also will have a UPC done again.

She will continue on Clavamox, Denamarin, Ursodiol, Enalapril, Mirtazpine as needed and aspirin. Poor thing hates meds .. just have to find an easier way to get them down her. Had a huge battle this morning. :(
