I am more than happy to keep everyone updated on her progress, you all are so much like my internet family why wouldn't I. I also appreciate all of the continued prayers for her, it seems as if someone up there is surely watching over her. |
For sure she does seem to have a guardian angel. Thrilled to hear that she continues to improve, and yes...my prayers are still with her. |
Update: :) Brandi is much better. Her eyes, mouth and lips are completely healed. There is some scarring form the ulcers on her lips. Her throat seems to still be tender. She doesn't seem to be handling the dry kibble well. She has always been one to swallow and think about chewing later which has caused her some issues with getting the food stuck in her throat, so we are back on the moistened kibble for now. She only has a few days of meds left and we have an appointment with our vet on Friday. I will let you know how she does. |
So glad to hear she's doing better. Thanks for keeping us up to date. |

So happy to hear that Brandi is doing so much better. I'm praying that all goes well on Friday! |
Oh, I can't wait to log onto YT and read that Brandi is completely, totally well...not 90% but 100%. My prayers continue...hoping her vet visit goes well. Ask the vet about the change in her little voice. I'm thinking laryngitis...but still worry that she has more of these ulcers irritating her throat. |
My baby girl is all better, for now !! Update: our visit went very well today. Doc was very impressed with her progress! She is eating pretty much all dry kibble now, her bark is normal. I got a dose of that little pleasure this morning at breakfast time . . lol Our vet still feels like this a anti immune issue so she wants to be kept on the Steroids for a few more weeks possibly even months. Which she will than have to be weaned off of gradually to see if any signs of the infection returns again. If so than it will have to be managed for the rest of her life. I am keeping my fingers crossed that once she is weaned off of the steroids that all goes well. That this was a tick born infection and not the anti immune issue. Only time will tell. We stopped for a visit with my mom and she needed to be right by my side. Literally, but that was fine with me. She got to get some extra cuddles and kisses from her grandma Janice. |
I hope Brandi's recovery continues in a positive path. She and you have been through such a rough time. |
So glad to hear that she is doing so much better. :) |
Will definetly keep Brandi in my prayers. I don't like taking steroids myself. Much less having to give them to my furbabies. But, we do what we have to do, right? :) |
I'm happy, happy, happy right now. |
