| Thank you for the reply. I have read in several forum that yorkies tend to have an enlarged heart on x-rays even though it may not be the case. What worries me is the fact that the chance of her having an enlarged heart is high since there are no other explanations for the cough, wheezing, and chocking sounds she makes. Like I said the vet said there are no murmurs. Another fact is that her trachea looked great on the x-ray. I just don't know what to make of this cough, and after reading online dogs with enlarged hearts have these terrible coughs. Do you have any other idea what this coughing issue she has could be? Thanks in advance for a reply! |

| The vet told you the heart was not enlarged to be symptomatic....like I said before, vets often note an "enlarged heart" in Yorkies.....you need to go to a specialist that can diagnose what is going on with your pup....the vet said the heart was not enlarged enough to be symptomatic....if you are still worried about these symptoms being from an enlarged heart, I would beat a trail to a cardiologist before I worried myself into an early grave over something that is often within normal limits on a vast majority of Yorkies. |

| Is it possible she has a reverse sneeze? They often do this when excited and it is harmless. http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet...ze-in-dogs/921 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UyBrb0Hhpk
