Praying hard that bailey will pull through. He is very lucky to have him |
Im so sorry for your baby, sending you prayers |
**Update 7/15 at 2pm** I spent some time with bailey this morning. They removed his IV because he was trying to move around and they thought he was doing better at trying to hold down his albon. However....when we got there to visit , he appeared very pitiful and never moved. Only his eyes moved. I noticed that he was getting cold as I touched him. I got a vet tech and she said his temp was dropping. They brought him a heating pad..but his gums were also turning white. I know none of this is positive. I really don't know what to do at this point. Is this normal or do I need to let go of him at this point?? The ONLY positives are that he kept his albon down today and he moved around a little bit. I cant afford to keep him hooked to IVs under constant supervision. Has anyone else gone through this?? I have walked in a fog for 5 days now and I just need some advice. I have never dealt with this and don't know if I should let go.... also, his diarrhea is gone but the vet said its because he's empty. He is urinating. |
So sorry to hear that he is not recovering quicker. Poor little guy, it breaks my heart to hear what he and you are going through. I will continue to pray for him. |
you can only do what you think is best for your lil man. im so sorry you had to experience this....and mostly that bailey had to go through this due to a breeder whom didnt take the proper care of her pets and the babies. sending many prayers. |

I'm so sorry that your little Bailey is going through this. I know it must be so hard for you too to see him like this. I really hope he can recover. My thoughts are with you and Bailey. |
Oh dear what a heart break this is. Such a young dog. You two have barely bonded yet, and he is in a life critical illness now. I think for now, please trust in your vets recommendations to continue treatment or not. They should be able to asses the risks for you and to communicate with you on those. |
I am so sorry :( This is heart breaking. I wish I had some advice to give you but I have not gone through anything like this with my Yorkie. My Golden Retriever was very very sick earlier this year and we never gave up. He very slowly got better. You guys are in my thoughts. |
Ok I know everyone's financials are different and I certainly know the expense your dealing with. My advice at this moment, is get out every credit card you have, call whoever you know and can borrow from, go to the bank and get a loan....do whatever it takes. Why? Because I have been where you are and I know how your heart is aching and I know you love him very very very much....I would make arrangements with a 24 hour animal hospital, they have them...call first and get him in there, this pup needs something different than what they are offering. My Mini had this and I will never forget when my husband went to take out a loan, for what??? they asked...he said "for my poopy scoopy little girl"...I am glad we did this especially when everyone was telling us to let her go...they were right, she has endless issues, but she is 8 yrs old now and I truly can't imagine her evere not being in my life...I love her so much...in the end....being broke is not so bad...not when I have my pups.... |
I’m so sorry you and your pup are going through this. What does your Vet say? Does he think he can get over this? I will pray for you and your baby. I can tell you love him so much, and are willing to do whatever you can to help him. |
Clearly you and Bailey are fighters of some great strength. In some ways I have been where you are - $6000 later I had a healthy dog who lived 11 wonderful and loving years. I agree with MauiGirl when she said save Bailey and deal with the breeder later. You are constantly in the thoughts and prayer is YT folks here and we do have prayer power here:D Keep us posted and all you can do is the best you can! |
Sometimes albon doesn't work. I would highly recommend you ask if the vet will try Baycox or Marquis. Best wishes and sending prayers for your puppy. |
I am SO sorry! I pray that your Jesus helps makes the decision for you. Bailey is a sick sick little baby and having to make that decision because of finances is going to be a heavy burden on your heart. I pray that Bailey has a break through for the better very soon! (((HUGS))) to you! |
**UPDATE** My boys and I had come to the conclusion that as long as the Lord put fight in him then we would trust the Lord. He decided to take my sweet Bailey at 4pm today. The vet said he thinks there may have been liver issues or something more but they couldn't get blood from his little veins. My Bailey is in the arms of a loving God who's reasons I don't understand. My son is absolutely devastated! I messaged the breeder with the news and got a simple Im sorry. We spent 6 days here and 5 at the vets with 24 hour care. I don't understand this!!!!!!! |
I am so sorry to read this. Sending prayers your way. |
I am so very sorry to hear this terrible news. I know you and your son must feel inconsolable. Do did the very best you could for this poor baby I hope when you feel you can you will fight this awful breeder as hard as you fought for this little one. |
I am sorry for your loss. |
I am so very sorry for your loss. |
I'm so very sad for you and baby Bailey. I hate it so much when little souls suffer so horribly because of greedy people. RIP little one. |
