| ![]() Oh my goodness poor Pixie. Poor little thing. We were out and about on Sat, ran errands with Peanut. When we were on our way home he started coughing, like he had a hair ball. He did it a couple times on our way home.. after we got home he never did it again. It was really strange.. Seeing this thread makes me think it was allergies that was making him do that. We went to Petco, and I thought OMG he caught Kennel cough. Then I thought to myself nooo he can't catch it that fast.. My SIL's Min Pincher just went to the Vet- she said Grace has been coughing/ hacking a lot. She took her in, they vet gave her antibiotics, antihistamines and anti inflammatory. He said if it didn't clear up they will need to do Xrays. I'm starting to think she has some allergies going on too.. So I guess besides being itchy, they can cough/ hack when they are having allergies... makes sense to me I guess! LOL Hopefully Pixie will be better soon!!

| ![]() I am so happy that your baby is doing better! This thread was very helpful to me because Ian is doing the same thing. He started gagging/hacking, as if something is stuck in his throat, and is not acting like his usual self. He also is a grass eater. Although we are careful when we walk him, he still manages to snatch some, sometimes. His vet appointment is today at 2:30. I was/am also worried about all of the above, especially ct. We have been down that road before. :-(

| ![]() I spoke to soon ![]() She was such a good girl she ran down the hall and went in the bathroom on her pad to go too. I wonder what the heck is going on with her? It is weird the throwing up and then diarrhea. throwing up stopped and she was fine for about 8 hrs after she ate and then it started ![]()

| ![]() Worrisome anytime they hack and have diarrhea. I wonder if she ate all the grass cause her tummy was upset? And then the hacking? Maybe something else going on. Blood tests, fecal and maybe even a chest x-ray next if not better very soon. When Tibbe hacked but had no fever or even other symptoms(he might have had a mucuos-y stool - can't remember) an x-ray led to his pneumonia diagnosis. He'd aspirated some food or something reverse sneezing and it started an early, focal pneumonia but we caught it ultra early. The day he got sick, Tibbe just stood in the floor and looked at me until I vetted him 2 hours later and x-rays, blood, stoop sample taken to try to find out what was wrong with him. I hope and pray it's not anything serious but Tibbe used to RS a lot before his MVD diet stopped all that and the vet thought that was likely how he aspirated. Keep us updated and we're praying.

I also meant to mention that when Max had his sore throat, he had a couple of big, violent sneezes and then he rapidly improved.

| ![]() So far so good, no more diarrhea. She has been playing ball all evening so I think she is on the road to recovery. I get so stressed out when she is sick. Thanks Krisitn for your prayers ![]() Jeanie the vet did in house blood panel and everything was ok but I think if she is not better tom. I am going to ask her to do the one where they send it out and test for a more thorough evaluation. Thank you for your prayers.... I will keep you posted I really hope this is just a fluke and is not a symptom that links to something more serious. ![]()
