| I tried to feed her at 4 today she ate a little and 5 min later it came back up. She has not had any more diarrhea since 4pm. I called the vet again and she said that I should with hold food for 6 hrs and try feeding her again. If she doesn't keep that down I have to bring her back in. I wish they would of given her a shot for anti nausea bc they always do that when Daisy has one of her episodes So far she has been sleeping and no throwing up or diarrhea since 4. She won't eat ice or drink water which really concerns me.

| Why don't you call the vet and see if you can run in and pick up some Cerenia for her nausea. It will probably put her to sleep as it does Tibbe but it sure stops the vomiting.

| I have found that giving them a little corn syrup in water helps settle their stomach. I hope she feels better soon.

| The vet is closed until 8 am. I don't understand why she did not give pixie any. It has worked for Daisy every time. I think we might be out of the woods she has not thrown up in 4 hrs. I am just worried bc she won't drink

| My vet is very careful with medication, but he has used Cerenia, and it definitely helps. I would imagine that he checked her gums for dehydration and wasn't worried about it. My vet usually has me withhold food for several hours with vomiting. When one of my Rainbow Bridge babies was in congestive heart failure and was not eating, he had me give her baby food. I have found that it helps to get medication in when a pup doesn't want to eat due to an upset stomach. I hope Pixie continues to improve and that your mind eases very soon.

| I am so sorry Pixie is sick. If she is not vomiting and does not have diarrhea now, I would not worry too much. Just keep a close eye on her. Hope it is an uneventful night!

| Sending positive thoughts to Pixie. Seems we are all having our turn at this stuff since the warm weather. I went through 2 days of it with Wallee again a few weeks ago. I gave him gravol to settle his stomach. He also would not eat or drink for a day but I did manage to get him to eat a tiny ice cube every couple hours to get fluids into him. When he finally accepted some food, I put pediolyte in it to make sure he was well hydrated. It took almost 3 days to get him back eating the way he usually does. I also think he ate something outside as he threw something red up....ugggh...They are quick as lightning at eating stuff even when we are outside with them. |

| I use Gerber chicken because I home-cook for Katie, and she eats chicken for her protein source. She had an upset stomach and wouldn't eat recently. I wanted to give her a probiotic and the baby food enticed her to eat. Katie loves it.
