Oscar is Limping, please advise! Oscar is 16 weeks old. We were playing this morning and he squirmed out of my hand. Oscar fell about two and half feet and landed awkwardly. He kept trying to play for a bit but was limping right away. He never made a sound like he was in pain. He has slept most the day because we have encouraged him to. He has eaten normally and been totally normal just with a slight limp. I pulled on and pushed his leg some (lightly at first then added a little pressure) he never gave me a negative reaction. Almost ten hours later and he is ready to play, run, jump, but he still is favoring the leg. I'm thinking that of the limp persist tomorrow a visit to the vet is in order.... thoughts. Thanks it's our first Yorkie

| This pup has got to get to a vet, that's a long fall for a little pup, he is limping. I would be very concerned if he had a head injury as well. They are so fragile at this point. Unresolved limping is not a good sign. Keep us posted.

We just got up this morning, very slight limp. Not even sure I would call it a limp as much as I would say he is favoring it a little. He has one more shot due that he was suppose to get tomorrow, we are going to try and bump that up to today so we can also see the Vet. I'll update after. I have a hard time thinking it could be a fracture but I understand these guys are fragile. I forgot to mention that Oscar is 16 weeks but is 4lbs and 13 oz he isn't a tiny guy.

my girl jumped off a couch onto tile and just landed wrong. Broke her leg. Following surgery she is totally healed but trust me if they fall the wrong way anything can happen.

We went to the vet this morning. She said that she thinks maybe has a slight pulled muscle. She didn't even feel the need to do an xray after she examined him. He got his last distemper shot today(Yay! we can finally go on walks soon!) but this shot didn't slow Oscar down! He has been a wild man! We are still trying to keep him f rom jumping to much today and trying to give him another day or two before running in back yard to much! Oscar went from 4lbs 10oz to 5lbs 4oz in two weeks. He is now 16 weeks old. We feed him three times a day, 3tbsp each time. We are switching him from royal cannin to blue right now. Is that to much weight at his age? Thanks for the help, we were super lucky today, now we know to be more careful in the future when he rambunctious
