Pixie has a really bad UTI

Pixie is still having little spells of anxiety. She has at least 7-8 a day. A motorcycle going by, a plane and sometimes for no reason she comes up to me shaking or wanting to be held. As soon as I pick her up she wants down. I am trying some new holistic anxiety medicine before going to the Prozac. I just can't figure out what is going on. Thanks for asking!

Sorry to hear Pixie is still suffering anxiety spells. Praying the holistic med will help her. If you do have to use the Prozac, it might not be permanent. Maybe a period of use and living without the anxiety will settle her. Teddy's nighttime fear of my bedroom lasted about a year and then ended as mysteriously as it started.

Happy to hear she is recuperating from the UTI.

Tibbe was pretty bad as long as he was still feeling bad and aside from his outright panic sessions, he had his worry episodes where he would stand up when he heard something - anything - and rush to me - not in panic but fearful. Once he got on his current diet and got rid of some of his toxins - I guess from his MVD - he's 99% improved. Maybe once every 3 days he'll hear something he doesn't like and stand up or look at me as if he wants to come cuddle in safety but he'll settle back down if I tell him to relax. I'd like him to be able to calm himself when he can so don't encourage his coming to cuddle with me. Yet just over a month ago, he was having some awful panic attacks while he was feeling so ill.

I wonder if something else is bothering her and just not showing up yet. It's just so odd for a dog to have frequent panic attacks when nothing in her life has changed to make her insecure or nervous. She isn't being bullied or stressed by hoards of loud family coming and going or being harassed by unruly kids or otherwise bedeviled into fear. Wondering if there is something neurological going on with her. I'll be praying that you find something that helps little Pixie start to have good days again very soon.

Thanks. No it's just me and the girls here everyday. I am going to finish her UTI meds and then have blood work done again and speak with her regular vet.
