I agree Jeanie She is giving me the time of my life. At night she sits infront of me a whines and drops a ball at my feet for me to play and I won't bc she will run and chase it:( I feel like a bad mommy at times. | I know exactly what it\'s like. It\'s awful for both of you. But you are being the best of mommies by not doing what she wants right now. She\'d be running and jumping and soon back limping, not even realizing what she was doing to herself. Just say something soothing to her and tell her she\'s getting better. Somehow dogs know when we try to explain things that something is different and they trust us, hear us jabbering and realize we\'re trying to help them. I just feel it in my bones that they somehow know when we\'re trying to help them when we tell them no at times when they are too injured or sick to get what they want. They just look at you as if to say "I don\'t understand you or why you are doing this but I\'m thinking you are good and trust you. I\'m not happy about it but I\'ll try to go along with you - until 15 minutes from now when I\'ll ask again if we can\'t please play". Hang in there and in time, sprains and strains heal. |
