I'm so happy to see that Tibbe is feeling better. Sending good thoughts and prayers!! |
He finally seemed to be doing well enough to get a very much needed bath. He was so stinky but I was just too scared to bathe him when he was so ill. Had been nearly 6 weeks since his last one! Unlike usual, his bath seemed to stress him some and he acted fearful afterward, ears back, kind of slinking by the wall - he heard a circle or buzzsaw in the neighborhood through the open windows. But then he had his dinner, came and cuddled in my lap in his blanket and seems fine. He's sleeping like a baby now, gums pink and pulse/resp's fine. I can get his femoral pulse easily now I've taken it so much - at first it was hard to find. OhOh - he just flipped over in his sleep onto his back to have his tummy scratched - that's a good sign he's content with life. He was fairly playful before his bath and spunky! I'm so crazy about this little dog. |
You and Tibbe have gone through so much together, and I know your love for him has intensified as you have given so much more of your heart to him. The two of you love and understand each other so well. I also know each day you share is a gift. I believe with all my heart that Tibbe will be given the care he needs and that the two of you will continue to share the special life, love, and bond that are so essential to both of you. You both have been in my thoughts, heart, and prayers. I'm so happy that Tibbe is doing better. Just as I have now, I will be thinking of you and Tibbe on Wednesday and will be awaiting the news. If you need me for anything, all you need to do is ask. |
Lisa, that is so sweet. I do know I can call you and you are there for us. What a special person you are to me. You picked me up when I was pretty low with your phone call. You gave me a pep talk, counselled me quite seriously on the nature of these diseases, gave me "homework" & got me busy learning and now checking back - ever the teacher. I've never met you but you took all that care for just a name online. It's people like you that make YorkieTalk one-of-a-kind. All the help and support and good advice I've gotten here are priceless. There's not a one of you all I don't feel I know. Guess who is trotting all around the den carrying his chewie in his mouth? He's been up digging on the couch and hiding the chewie, digging it out from behind the cushions and then starting to hide it again. Then he "finds" it himself and runs around with it in the den floor. He hasn't done this in so long. He even went into his toy basket to get the chewie out from under several bigger toys. Tibbe's feeling pretty darn good tonight and I'm in heaven. I know we've still some tough times ahead but this is great tonight. |
It's so good to read Tibbe's latest updates. I bet he smells so sweet and so glad that he is doing well and acting happy. |

I am so happy to hear Tibbe is having some good moments, and you are able to enjoy them and almost relax a little. I had a similar scare with Tiki when she was only 7 months old, with high BATS, discovered during a pre-op blood work before her spay. After ultrasound did not see a shunt, it was presumed that she has MVD, and has been under "medical management" for 4 1/2 years, and exhibits NO signs of liver disease, unless she eats food too high in protein and fat. I will pray that Tibbe also can be diagnosed and treated, if he does have liver problems. Hugs to you both. |
Jeanie, I'm so glad Tibbe is enjoying life. You two seem so in touch with one another I enjoy reading your posts. Good luck tomorrow and will be looking forward to hearing what the tests show. |
Yay! I am so glad the hear that Tibbe is doing better. Playing with his Chewie is wonderful. Hugs and puppy kisses Teri and Galen |
Catching up on posts and read how good Tibbe was doing yesterday! How wonderful!!! I know you must be beside yourself. :) Praying for really good news with Wednesdays vet visit. (((Hugs))) |
So Happy Tibbe is doing better and he got a bath and smells good:)praying for good news on Wednesday. give that cutie pie a kiss:) |
Ah, thank you all. He's doing really well this morning and seems pretty close to normal. He's not the wild fireball of old yet dog-laughing alot but I think he's so much better that I'm just weak with relief. Demanded his breakfast, waited somewhat impatiently while I fixed it - kind of wuffing and Yorkietalking to me in the woo-woo - aarfy way he does like he's trying to actually speak and say "can't you see I'm starving since my snack last night?!?", ate it and wanted more, had his medicine and 2 kibble treats for taking it, been out to potty, checked out the tree where the squirrels play and seems alert, loving and back to himself. I've had a flurry of Tibbe kisses several times this morning. All that's missing is his extra flourish to everything he does, racing around the house in high gear; plus, he seems ready to come back in the house after a potty session whereas normally he's got to be called to me when it's time to come in. And he does spend some time in his hard-shell airline carrier napping and he hasn't done that since he was sick last spring. I guess that's his man-cave. |
Tibbe tests Praying all goes well with the tests today and that whatever the diagnosis, dear little Tibbe can be treated and healed. Thoughts and prayers. |
I know you mentioned that Tibbe was having test's at the specialist today and hope it all goes well. I do hope you are still having it done, since I saw that you had fed him this morning???? |
Praying for the Tibster and you! |
