| Trixie has some bloody diarreah So Trixie has had the runs on and off for the past few days...she gets better and then gets them again. For the past two days, I have fed her pouched chicken breast, rice and some organic canned pumpkin. I thought she was acting like her normal self last night. This morning, I saw that she vomited sometime during the night (some rice/pumpkin) but she seemed fine. I just came home from work....diarreah with some bloody mucus in it. We are going to the vets in about 30 minutes. I hate to see her sick and hope she is okay

| Hope all goes well @ the vet! What is pouched chicken, is that like chicken for people w/sodium? It's best to give them plain boiled chicken breast w/no seasoning & salt. Feel better soon Trixie!

It was a typo - poached/boiled chicken. And thanks...I hope so too.

| Still at the vets office....exam was fine...nothing out of the ordinary so now they are drawing bloods, doing fecal exam and an X-ray just to make sure she is ok. She will also have her urine tested since she had a urinary infection about two months ago.

| Praying for Trixie and so glad you got her right in to see the vet. Hope it's nothing too bad.

| So far it looks like an intestinal thing . Will have blood and fecal results tomorrow. Vet says if her stool gets worse or no improvement she has to go to hospital

| Did vet mention colitis maybe since there was blood in her stool...no sub q fluids? They can get dehydrated, make sure she's drinking water. Hope the test results will have answers for you & Trixie.

| So far all her tests have been normal...she is finally feeling better. The vet has her taking flagyl and famotadine twice a day and gave me some wet food made for gastro-intestinal issues. She has had normal pops the past day or so.....I think I will stick with this new food for a bit. Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts!!! It's really nice that everyone here "gets it". The people at work think I'm craY to worry so much and spend so much at the vet. They are just ignorant!

| He didn't mention it, but I will ask. She was still drinking and urinating with no signs of dehydration so no fluids from the vet....he did say that if she continued to vomit or have diarrea that she would have been hospitalized. Thankfully se improved!!
