| Please help - false pregnancy?!!! Hi Everyone, I have a 3 year old yorkie girl who has not been spayed and there is pretty much no positibility of her being pregnant. I just noticed that her tummy area, nipple area is all swollen. Next to her lady parts it seems like it is very swollen and hard to touch. She also started lactosing. Please help, i'm freaking out. My vet said that they will see her tomorrow morning. She doesn't seems uncomfortable just sleepy but seems normol. What can I do to help her so it doesn't get worse till I see a vet tomorrow morning? Over the phone vet said it could be a false pregnancy - could that be something life threatning? Please give me some advise. Thank you |

| Many years ago my pup had a false pregnancy. I needed to wait a little while until it was over to get her spayed, but Ashley did fine. She lived until she was seventeen. Your little girl is going to be fine. I wish I could help you more, but it was twenty years ago, and I don't remember details.

| Not much you can do for the moment until you see the Vet. She could also possibly have Pyrometra, which can be serious. When was her last heat cycle? It is really best to have her spayed as soon as it can be done.
