You're very welcome. & Thank you. You're stronger than I am to make the decision. But I know in my heart that your baby will appreciate and completely understand wholeheartedly that it is a decision for her to pass on to a much happier state, watching over you and your family. Quote:
I truly believe that the decision to end their suffering is a gift to them in a way. It takes a toll seeing them suffer..all you want is for them to be happy and peaceful. Will definitely be thinking of you and your baby.

| Lori, I am so sorry that Willow's time with you is almost over. The question about when to let her go is a heart wrenching one. Many years ago, when my very first Yorkie, Laciebug was very ill with a brain disorder, I would ask my vet "is it time?" every time I took her in for check-ups. And each time Doc would answer, "listen to Lacie, she will tell you when." Listen to Willow with your heart and she will let you know when she is ready to be released from her pain and pass over the rainbow bridge. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. |

| I am so very sorry you are going through this. I too know all too well what you are going through. These little ones grab our hearts and really tug on the heart strings. They bring so much joy to our lives that we often don't know how we ever lived without them. I am in tears right now remembering my last little one that I had to let go. It's so heart breaking. It's been almost 5 years and I still miss her so much but know she is in a better place. I will keep you, your little one and your family in my prayers..

| So sad to hear what your family is going through and sad for Willow. I was taught in my techy days to evaluate the quality of life. Specifically, is your pet eating, drinking, eliminating normally? Does your pet still enjoy it's favorite things and activities? Is your pet in pain or sleeping a lot? Is your pet having more 'good days' than bad? Then you look at the balance between the good and the bad. One of my first vets made it simpler: If the pet is eating, drinking and eliminating, then he/she is okay. If they are in pain, they will stop eating, and if they cannot be helped medically, the time may be near, so think about how you will handle the situation, or make a plan. To get the family on the same page, I just put my foot down with mine. As I am the main caregiver, I see the signs first, so when I say it's time, it's time. I may start dropping hints about the dog is not doing as well and that I fear the time is coming soon, so you all need to start saying your 'Goodbyes' because it could come any day now. And my DH is good for saying 'Oh she's okay'. And I would say, No, no she's not, and I cannot stand by and watch her suffer any longer. It is so much more gentler to be able to help them get to Rainbow Bridge, then it is to allow them to get there on their own. That is just my opinion. I hope I haven't been too blunt, I know this is a very emotional time for you and your family. It's never easy to talk about a pet's passing, just know that they do go to a better place, and that we will see them again. Hugs, Kathy

| I am so sorry that Willow is so ill. You love your babies so deeply and are so in tune with them. I know in my heart that whatever you chose, it will be right for Willow. My baby Gracie had collapsed trachea all her life, and I know how heartbreaking it is to watch someone you love so dearly struggle. My heart and prayers are with you. You most definitely have my support. |

| So sorry about little Willow. They do let you know. I was so upset and my little TIna would eat and poop okay, but she had lost down from about 10lbs. to probably around 4lbs. She was litteraly a bag of bones. I felt guilty because I had to ask myself if I was just being selfish in wanting to hold on. I think I was. The time will come and little Willow will let you know. I hate you are going through this. It hurts so bad. Will be praying for you and your baby. |
