Lil' Miss Izzie and I are sending :big_hug: to Jillie and hope her mouth and ear heal quickly.... |
I'm so happy to hear Jillie is home. Sorry she lost 3 teeth, but her ear looks surprisingly good. I think some strategic and careful ear hair trimming will disguise it. Love the Facebook suggestion to craft a great tale about how Jillie lost part of her ear. :) Sending hugs to your very special little girl. |
Awww, I'm sorry she had to lose 3 teeth, but I am happy to hear the surgery went well. That ear doesn't look too bad at all. I agree - some strategic hair styling will probably make it virtually invisible. Such a sweet and pretty girl :) |
So glad that Jillie is home. Her ear really does look good. I'm sorry she had to have teeth pulled. Prayers for her recovery. |
Hugs to miss Jillie, hope she's feeling better real soon! |
Sending good vibes for a speedy recovery. |
Thanks again, everyone. I'll have to share a laugh from the vet's office today. I'm an admitted overpromoter of my dogs here on YT with countless photos and videos, but I'm beginning to realize it's not limited to YT. As the vet tech came out to take Jillie this morning, she said "There's the famous Jillie! I've seen pictures and video of her all over the Internet." Just as I was offering a polite smile, a woman I'd never seen before who was waiting with her dog said, "THAT'S JILLIE?!" Evidently, she's famous in town too! |
I am glad she is doing well after all that. It's very strange about the ear injury, though. I am very sorry this has happened. I hope she is healed soon and has no further issues. |
Glad to hear all went well with Jillie's surgery, sorry she lost the three teeth. You have a little superstar there (even if she is missing an ear tip). Nickname - Tippy. |
So sorry about the 3 teeth. Her ear looks good. And I'm so glad she is home with you. |
I'm wishing Jillie a speedy recovery. With her beautiful hair, I am sure it won't be noticeable at all. Too bad about her 3 toofies too. Wondering about what happened will bug you forever. Do you think maybe something clamped down on it, pinching it, like getting caught/closed in a door, or a mouse trap or something? Just guessing, since there was not much blood, maybe something cut off circulation. I remember a thread quite a while ago where somebody accidentally got their dogs ear caught in a rubber band in her top knot, and the tip of the ear died off like that. Again, just guessing. |
I looked up that old thread about an ear injury in case something seems similar: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...s-ear-off.html |

IMHO if you saw darkening in pics way back to 3/29 ~ it leads my suspicions back to the groomer :( |
