Aw, man, that sucks. I'm sorry about Jillie's ear. Glad she's not in any pain though! I think it would be weird if it was the groomer... it just seems odd that you wouldn't have noticed at some point within the 3 weeks, as often as you're around your pups and spending time with them, etc. I mean, of course it's possible. But, I dunno! Either way, I'm sorry she had to go through this! |
Poor sweet Jilly, I am glad she is not seeming bothered by it and she has such a lovely coat it will probably be hard to notice. Poor wee snow bucket Jilly. |
Poor little Jillie, I wont speculate on how or what I think could have happened. Im just gonna say that I hope all goes well. Just wondering, How much of her ear will it effect ? |
So sorry to hear about Jillie, Mike!! She's still gorgeous!!! I'll be thinking of you and Jillie on Thursday!!! Speedy recovery!!! |

Mike, I'm so sorry this has happen. Maybe it's time to learn grooming because I'm sure she was traumatized regardless of how she acted when you picked her up. This just breaks my heart! |
Im sorry Mike. I think it happened at the groomer also there is alot of bleeding with ear injuries |
I hope you figure out what happened. I have a hard time trusting groomers I do not know. Yet your Yorkie would have pawed at her ear it she was in pain. The groomer could have done that and put some type of numb stuff on it. Who knows. Or that other dog could have nipped her. Whatever I would change groomers and get someone that I totally trust. So many dogs are abused at groomers. We all need to be careful where we take our precious dogs. |
Yeah, well I have an awesome groomer and I still sit right there! |
Poor baby. I will say a prayer it goes well. Nothing can mar her beauty. |
Aw...bless her heart. Sending hugs to Jillie. She is one tough little girl, she'll be her usual gorgeous self in no time:): Sending thoughts and prayers for Jillie. |

I too think it was the groomer....jus sayin. This is why I have decided to take a grooming course and groom my three myself. Poor Jilly....she is still gorgeous! Let us know how she does please...bless her heart. |
Thanks for the condolences, and I appreciate the speculation. It's such a mystery. I did pore over photographs, and, while I can't say conclusively, it appears she was fine immediately after the groomer visit. It is possible she was nipped at a meetup and it's still possible Lucy nipped her when I wasn't home. I just can't explain the lack of blood in both cases. Everyone I've talked to says it should have bled profusely. I haven't called the groomer yet but need to. |
Good luck.. The most important thing is she is ok |
So sorry this happened to Jillie's ear, in reading everyone's posts, I would definately go see the groomer, specifically the one who worked on Jillie and come right out and ask them if they cut her ear....check for their expression in their response...that might be able to tell you just by their answer and their reaction. I have a groomer who comes to my home and will groom Lil' Miss Izzie in either my backyard, livingroom, garage..where ever I want her to set up. She doesn't charge like the mobil groomers and is very reasonable and does a great job. I do hope that all goes well on Thursday for you and Jillie...I will have you in my thoughts and prayers... |
