Just checking up on Layla. Also to find out how you are doing. |
Layla Happy to hear she had a good night apart from the accident. Shows her eye is not bothering her and that is comforting. I can imagine she is not too happy about the eye goop cleaning especially as when you get near it is usually drops. They can sting a bit I gather. Perhaps a treat in one hand and the cloth in another? Sometimes that is distracting enough. Sleep well tonight dear baby. |
I have been really busy with work so I have not had a chance to check in but layla has been in my prayers. I am so glad the operation went well and she did not have to loose her eye. The operated eye really does look good in the photo and Layla has such a sweet face. She is such a lucky girl to have such a loving and devoted family. Best wishes for her continued improvement. |

This is today's checkup on Layla. How is she doing? Better yet how are you doing. Are ready fo fall off your feet? Oliver has his 3 week checkup on Monday. He finished his oral medicine but those drops are a pain in the neck even though they're cut down. I hope when we take him back he will cut his eye medicine again. He doesn't trust me anymore. When he sees me he runs under the bed and we used to be so close. Well give Layla a kiss from Oliver and me and let us know how she's doing. |

Layla is doing great! Her eye is looking much better at the surgery site. She is still okay with the eyedrops, and DH was able to clean her eye up a bit better so it's not so crusty around it. She still hates her cone, especially when her ears are itchy :( We're doing the best we can with it though! |
Layla Thank you, so happy she is progressing well. Sorry about the cone, it is horrible! Hopefully not for much longer. |

Her next appointment for her eye is on May 9th, so just over 3 weeks after her surgery. I am hoping we can have our friend from opthalmology over this weekend and she can let us know if it is looking normal! I have no idea what it's supposed to look like at this stage. |
I couldn't tell either on Oliver but with a cataract it's kind of different because all you can tell is that the film over his eye is gone and his eye is opened wide. Keeping our fingers and paws crossed that when you bring her back for her checkup everything is good which I know it will be. Keep up the good work it's very rewarding. |
I am counting down :) We are a quarter of the way done and it hasn't been too bad so far! |
