| Shocking x-rays :/ What a long emotional day.. After visiting the vet today and several x-rays taken, the x-rays showed several major issues/concerns. The pain my Roxy was experiencing was in her neck due to degenerative disc disease. A disc in her neck is worn down. Her trachea is approximately 90% compressed, and her liver is enlarged. As if all that is not scary enough they found an extremely large mass on her lungs. The mass is comparable to the size of her heart. I will be taking her to get an ultrasound, and they may have to extract some cells to see if the mass is cancerous... Roxy is currently taking all of her medications; pain pills, anti-inflammatory pills and muscle relaxers. I am still in shock and my heart feels heavy and sad tonight. Positive thoughts for a quick recovery are needed and greatly appreciated! |
