| Teddy Bear is doing SO well. He loves the Royal Canin hepatic formula...thank goodness. His incision looks good, he is peeing and just a total love! I am so grateful that things turned out so well...when I think what might have happened it makes me sick.

| Hi Linda, Just catching up on everything as we had no power/heat from Friday until just yesterday. Happy to hear that everything went well and he is home. You do really have an intuition with these dogs. Learn something new everyday about shunts, glad it all worked out the way it did. Thank god.

| My precious foster, Sunny D, is not doing as well as Teddy Bear. He was readmitted to ICU yesterday. I just got home from seeing him and we are only going to do one more day of fluids...if no improvement, I am going to let him go. They pretty much encouraged it...he still will not eat...and even if we get the numbers up, he probably still will not eat. The renal failure will get him in the end no matter what. Just so heartbreaking. I hate to sound like this...I am just dealing with my own health issues the past couple of weeks and then I had Sunny and Teddy and I am at the end of my rope right now I think. I thank God that at least my little Teddy is ok. So sorry to sound down. Sunny D has his own thread somewhere, but I figured you all have been up to date on him in this thread, so I decided to update here. I pray tomorrow morning will bring a miracle.....please pray for Sunny D. He is such a precious boy...it bothers me that no one ever saw that and adopted him....but he does know he is loved here.

| Linda, I'm so sorry and sad to read this about Sunny D and then you own health issues. Life gets too tough at times and coming on top of Teddy's recent illness and the worry and fright you just got over with him, this all seems too much! I'm so sorry poor little Sunny is struggling so. It's got to knock you right in the gut. You've fought so hard, done so much and seen Sunny through such bad times and now this. I can only pray that Sunny might rally and feel a lot better but if that doesn't happen, I will be adding you and Sunny to my prayers for help and guidance and peace. Let us know when you know more about little Sunny D - and you. I'm so sorry to read that report.

| Linda, You have done everything possible for Sunny including love him dearly. If his health & quality of life requires letting him go then you will know that and as always will do what is best for him. Hope your own health issues are resolved. Prayers for you and your pups. Marcy

| Thank you everyone. I am just sick over this tonight...and on top of it, my George started vomiting today. It was late in the afternoon so I took him to my vet. They gave him subcutaneous fluids and reglan...and also an injection of cerenia. They also called a consult in to GCVS just in case he gets sick during the night. He has had bouts of pancreatitis in the past. I just don't get all of this...I feel like there is a black cloud hovering. They are going to call me tomorrow at 7 AM with Sunny D's labs. I will be getting up super early so that I can be ready to leave right after feeding my pups. I have my own appointment in the early afternoon, so I have to visit with Sunny D early. I hope it is a visit and not the last one.
