You also can apply for Care Credit .. perhaps that will help pay for it.

| Praying for this little one. Please update us when you know something. All the advice you got was spot on. The only thing I will add is get the MRI ASAP and not wait around wondering if you should. If the brain is swelling, you should be getting that down asap. Vet schools can help with all specialties at once. Texas A&M is an excellent one in your area.

| Brains are funny organs....if they swell from trauma, and they fill up the inside of the skull and start pressing outward against the inside of the skull, everywhere the brain is pushing up against the inside of the skull, is probably going to cause necrosis (cell death) of the brain tissue at those points...that is why the vet wanted to do an MRI....he needed to see if the brain was swelling or if perhaps there was even bleeding into the brain. I am hopeful this pup has been on medication to reduce the swelling that probably took place within the skull....this is not something that is going to fix itself. You are going to have to get the MRI so they will know what to do next....as long as it has been, I am praying some decisions have been made about proceding with treatment for this baby..... |

| I've been looking, too, but the op avatar shows she has just posted twice & that would be the 2 in this thread. I doubt we will be getting an update. I hope the pup ends up ok.

| sending a prayer for your dd puppy. I agree with other posters..get her to a vet school..they are not "out for money" as a private vet may be (hopefully not-- but there are good vets and some not I am sure)

YT Addict | I hope your daughter takes her to A&M. Besides being very knowledgeable I've heard the big universities can also be less expensive than some of the private specialty vets. Just wondering what she fell off of?
