Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() Clyde always wants to cuddle before he has his seizures. Afterwards, he is really dazed and confused & wanders around the house growling at things. After he is done growling than he wants to cuddle. Clyde fluctuates in how badly his seizures are. Sometimes he just shakes really bad, other times his legs get really stiff and he looks dazed, but more recently his seizures are of him thrashing around uncontrollably (a sign that the seizures are getting worse). Epileptic dogs should be put on medication if they have more than one seizure a month, is what my vet told me. My vet said that seizures are very stressful on the body & if not treated can lead to brain damage (or worse). If Benji is only having one seizure every 6-7 months, and you take him to the vet to be checked out when he does have one, then he should be fine. However, if Benji starts to have multiple seizures a week again I would take him to a vet for testing & possible medication. Last edited by Clyde_Dexter; 01-18-2013 at 10:03 AM. |
