Update on Adonis...miracle recovery!!! - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Honestly this past weekend, thought I'd lost my boy.

Last night, he started raising HOLY HELL to go outside!!! First time he'd barked to go out in DAYS!

He's walking fine, no falling, stumbling, rocking, and landing on butt. He's back to his happy little self again!!!

I'd taken Venus in for check up and shots this AM. Vet says we recheck Adonis's levels again in 2 weeks. He thinks maybe Adonis ate a green lizard, or something like that, that is poisonous to dogs. I had no clue green lizards were poisonous!

Never been so afraid of loosing my baby before. I really didn't think he'd pull through what he was going through Saturday.

Doc and I went though everything I put in the yard, from weed n feed to over n out. None of it is poisonous to dogs.

Whew!! I am so happy to read this. I know you are soooo relieved. I know how scared you were. Yay Adonis!! Keep getting better little one

P.S. I had no idea green lizards were poisonous to dogs either. I will be on the look out (along with the toads and bees and hornets and yellow jackets...don't you just love the wild life in Bama? lol)

This is such great news it made me smile when I saw the title. Whew! Your little guy was so sick I feared you would lose little Adonis, too! Who knew about lizards being so poisonous! Scary. But am so glad little Adonis is so much better and you are too, no doubt. Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood news!

I am very happy to hear that Adonis has recovered!! Tell him not to scare you like that again.

I wanted to let you know that Weed & Feed is a fertilizer and fertilizers are toxic to dogs. This probably wasn't what affected Adonis, but wanted to mention it. A few people here have had sick doggies after they got into fertilizer. It is deadly if consumed in quantity.

Great news but lizards are bad???? Never knew that and Guinney likes to grab them by the tail and sling them across the room... Great I guess I am on lizard watch now

He started it back up again, last Thursday. Trying to get my vet to set me up with appointment with neurologist in Auburn..

Awww, I was so excited for Adonis' recovery and then I just saw your last post. Hope the neurologist can figure out what is going on. It almost sounds like a mini seizure type thing. Hopefully whatever it is, a diagnosis is made and some treatment can begin for him so he doesn't keep going through this. I will say extra prayers for the little guy.
