Oh, but what I do know is that testing for food allergies is really not successful. My vet told me it is a waste of money. She only recommends environmental allergy testing...which of course you don't need for this.
Food elimination diets are difficult from what I have heard. Someone was just telling me that today.
I have a pup who had some weird funky stools and I put him on Hill's z/d ultra and he is fine now. I did not put him through any testing but would have if the food did not help him. I strongly suspect he has some kind of food allergy issues.

I think there are foods you can give without going through all of that.....again, I personally swear by veterinary nutrionists. I have done consults with my sick pups and had great success. Thank you for your post! I am looking into a vet nutritionist. Gizmo's tummy has been upset the last few days and I am determined to figure out what food allergy he has so we can try and prevent these flare ups as best that we can. One problem is that Gizmo is very very picky
