Believe me, I am following doctors suggestions to a CAPITAL "T". I don't want Annie to suffer any more. I am feeling a sigh of relief seeing her try and use it. Now, if we could just get a good nights sleep in. I am so worried about those staples. I am for sure going to PetCo to see about those collars tomorrow morning.

I just found an inflatable collar on Petco's website....maybe that would work? I have never used one, but it does look like it would be more comfortable and not be something they can get around...

Oh thank you!! That is very sweet of you to look for us. I am going to go there in the morning and see if they have one. It has to be better than that big plastic thing she cant keep up.

You know it just dawned on me, how about putting a pair of PJ's on her? She would still be able to potty with them on.

The only issue with that is that the vets usually like the incision to be open to air. That is better to promote healing and avoid infections.

The vet also told us to put some neosporin around her cut. We also went to buy Rosie baby clothes to keep her from licking but they were all too big

Due to the staples I really don't want to put PJs on her. They are driving her nuts. But, thanks go out to Ladyjane for her link regarding the inflatable collar at Petco. They are amazing!!! Annie has wore it since we purchased it yesterday and we have not had a problem with her trying to get to her incision. She tried once but found it impossible and therefore has been a real good girl. It must be comfortable as she even uses it as a pillow. She doesn't whine with it on or anything. Tomorrow is the big day!!! She goes in for her one week check. I am looking forward to the Vet telling us how the recovery is going from her position.

Also, thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!! Today I was awarded a new job at our local University!! I can't believe it I am still in shock. Nervous, excited, scared, and amazed all in one lump.

I will update you when we get home tomorrow night.

We went for Annie's one week checkup today. It went pretty well. They took her staples out and we were told it was time to start psychical therapy. We are going to fill the tub with water and let her swim around for 5 minutes 2 to 3 times a day. We don't have to go back for another checkup until next Friday. I am so excited that it has gone well. Can't wait to put her in the tub tomorrow.
