If it's cooked bone... I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope they'll be able to help now that they've pin pointed it (hopefully). Sounds like she got to some turkey...

OMG, poor Lilo must have such a tummy ache. She probably got a hold of some turkey bones from somewhere.

No my roommate is in class.... So I'm alone.. I'm struggling to make decisions for the both of us and for LILO but I'm having a really hard time.

I am just seeing this, and I am so sorry Lilo is going through this!! I know you have to be so worried about your sweet baby, and I am keeping you and Lilo in my prayers!! I'm glad she is in the emergency clinic where she can get the best care possible, and I am praying that she starts feeling better soon!!

This may or may not help you, but if this were my pup I would want to consult a Gastro specialist at this point. If this is turkey bone it's not good as cooked turkey & chicken bones are the worst for splintering, so if she is able to pass part of it there is a possibility of splinters being left behind.
I know this is not something you want to hear, however it is something to keep in mind & may help with your treatment decision. I'm praying all works out for your baby.

No turkey this year so that wouldn't make any sense to me... Maybe chicken bone or rocks? She used to love eating rocks when she was little... She might have picked it up on one of our walks.. I don't know.. I can't think straight right now.. We paid the deposit but I am lost how we will manage the rest...

Oh gosh, I am just seeing this now. I am so sorry... Is she going to have surgery? Poor Lilo :( I will be thinking of her. Please update us when you can!

Oh, just now got back on to YT and seeing these updates. I'm truly sorry this little baby is so sick. Could she have gotten those bones from the back yard or someone's garbage in the last few days? They could have been there a while perhaps causing a slow bleed. I do hope the vet that does the procedure is a GI specialist, if one has to be done. Glad they did some more x-rays as usually that is what they do when you bring them in to an ER vet - re-x-ray as soon as possible.

Poor Lilo. I sure hope they can stop her bleeding and stabilize her. I am praying for her as are so many on YT now.

Ill be checking this thread all night. I don't know what else I can do, so I will turn to the Lord and keep you and her in my prayers. Please God, help Cess stay calm and strong for her baby Lilo.

Sending lots of prayers. I know you're applying for care credit, do you have a low interest credit card you can put it on? Are you comfortable enough with the vet to see if you can work out a payment plan?

Turkey bone can not be ruled out. I often find turkey bones in my yard after the holidays that cats drag out of peoples trash. As long as you covered the deposit so they will treat her, don't worry about the rest till it's time to worry about it. Can you post the name of the Hospital Lilo is at ? for those who want to donate.

Yes, definitely don't worry about it yet. Money shouldn't be one of your concerns right now - you just need to focus on everything positive to Lilo.

Me, too! I found Tibbe with a chicken leg in his mouth one Sunday! He ran out straight to an area, pottied, I looked in the den at the TV, stepped back out and he was chewing. Ran out to him and saw the chicken leg in his mouth and got it away. He'd not had enough time to bite off any bone yet. It didn't look fresh - looked as if it had been out in the elements and was old looking. He didn't get sick from it thankfully, though I'm sure he got some of that meat off it. So scary what they can find out on sidewalks or the yard.

I knew Lilo was sick, but I didn't know how critical she was until Patti told me when we were talking on the phone. I'm praying for that precious baby and for you. I'm so sorry you are both going through this and hope and pray there will be good news in the morning. Hugs to you!

i am not too familiar with the emergency vet, although they have been very kind so far in lowering the cost due to our circumstances... i dont have a credit card we can put it on right now but i emailed all my family and friends so far to see if we can get some help... making things tonight to sell also...

the strange thing is while we were in san francisco she barely touched the ground... she was so cold all the time that about 80% of the time i was either holding her or she was in her snuggy sack... we do have raccoons that like to sift through the trash at night that may have dropped somethings in the front yard but i follow her whenever shes out and didnt really notice her munching on anything...

She may have picked up something in your Moms yard & she just didn't see her get it. Chances are those bones have been in her longer then you realize.
You know you can call the Hospital & check up on her, as many times as you like. They are familiar with crazy doggy mommies like all us yorkie moms. When any of mine go in for a simple dentistry, I call at least 3 times before the Dr is done with the dental, lol.
