Candle lit in memory of Lilo.

Lit a candle in her memory. Alisha...what a poem...it is one I have never seen before and is fitting for so many of us here. I cried reading it.

No, sadly it looks like she has lost several Yorkies recently.

Cess, I had no idea you had so much loss in the last 2 years!! Here is hoping 2013 is a better year for you......:unlove:

Tami and Cess first lost Leo...Lilo's brother and there was a I believe a yorkie mix (sorry I cannot remember her name) they rescued after Leo's passing..and she passed and now Lilo. Just very unfair and unjustified losses they have suffered over the last year or so.

Poor Cess...I don't know how you are dealing with such tragedies. We can't forget little Max and Joe Bear either. My heart breaks for you, losing 5 babies in two years:(

Max was rehomed.... 3 lost to congenital/hereditary battles... And then theres Lilo... I just don't think god wants me to have a dog sometimes... I train them and take care of them and try Everything to love them the right way but they dont seem to be able to stay with us... All were amazing Dogs... So different and perfect in their own ways..l'm not handling this well at all... I would have been happy to just have Lilo my whole life... She had never been sick before all this and yet she's gone now.. I have no understanding for all this. It just seems so cruel...

Im shocked and sadened that Lilo has passed you are in my thoughts and prayers. This is a reminder that we should never take our little ones for granted. None of us could know when one day is going to be the last one with them. Again I am so very sorry and hoping you will heal from this terrible loss. You were such a good Mommy to Lilo and I loved reading about her excapades. RIP little LILo

I don't think God has anything to do with it. And it is not personal...the bottom line is that if they were all tinies, perhaps you need to start thinking about getting a larger one. These tiny pups should not be bred and they are fraught with problems...plus, if they become ill it is worse for them because they don't have reserves to battle whatever it is. Sadly, they go down quickly.
Yes, it is cruel....cruel that breeders don't care to breed to standard and sell these pups out of pure greed. The pups and the people who love them end up suffering.
Again, I am sorry for your loss. It will take time to get past this, but you will and hopefully your wonderful memories will help to erase some of this pain.

Oh my, Cess! That's so much to go thru in 2 years! I am so very sorry. You are right...it is so cruel and unfair. Please hold in your heart that, although these babies are gone, they had such a wonderfully loved life having you as their Mom. Still praying for you!

I agree with this... 5 dogs in a couple years is a lot. I looked back at all your babies and they all died so young :( Tinies are a lot to manage and often have health issues that are expensive. As a college student, it would be hard to afford the health care for sick babies. If it were me, I'd take a break from yorkies until you can afford to care for them should a tragedy occur.

Do you have any plans to write a book about Lilo? Just thinking it would maybe help you with the pain and grieving, and then you can still share all the great photos and stories. Maybe too soon to mention this, but it would be a nice tribute to her and all she was able to accomplish in her short life, which was just totally amazing, under your guidance and with your love.

What a great idea Kathy. I think writing it down may help you grieve Cess. I am praying for you during this difficult time. We are all here to support you.

I think you have been a blessing to these pups. Through YT I have come to know you and your love for these dogs. You gave them so much love and support that you made each of their lives so fulfilled and loved. So many dogs don't receive a fraction of the attention and love that you have given so freely and lovingly. I admire you for the amazing training you accomplished with your babies which required so much trust and understanding. Your heart is so big and has been so devastated. I do not understand the cruelties of life. I remember someone telling me when I was young "Life is not meant to be understood but to be lived." Cess you have lived your life lovingly and I pray that this does not break you so much that you shy away from allowing another Yorkie to find a place in your heart. You have given so much of your heart and made such a difference in these babies lives you are an inspiration. Every time I see a picture of Lilo I see your love radiating through her eyes. It was one of the things that made her so special. She would have been an adorable Yorkie regardless but your love made her shine. She still and always will shine brightly. Bless you Lilo.

OMG!! I had no idea that she had and lost that many. I was hoping she had another baby to help easy the pain of losing Lilo. Having our three yorkies help us when we lost Fancy Face, our 14 year old schnauzer. Heaven Help!

I am a mess again reading Lilo's final update, hearing what happened just yesterday...I'm so sorry Cess :( I know you did what was best for Lilo...you're a good mommy. She was happy. That perk of her ear was her saying "I love you, It's okay, I'll watch over you from Heaven until we meet again".

I only just saw this thread and I am shocked and heartbroken for you and your precious Lilo. Poor little sweet thing. You did everything you could for her and you gave her a good life. She knew you loved her.
