| I believe this too... I just get so upset when vets do this without testing first... Yes, Yorkies do get CT and LS and LP and Cataracts and blah, blah, blah. They get the owners so upset (as well they should be, if it was/is a definite diagnosis) but without conclusive test results, it should be more like, 'That cough concerns me... I'd like to do further testing to rule out some things'.... Sorry, I've been up all night, lol.

| Praying for your baby Keylo. I'm so sorry her whole life may now be all about overcoming these hurdles. At least she has you, dh, Cedric and Lola to hold her hand through it all. Stay strong, girl. Lots of people here know exactly how you're feeling and can help you.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | I'm so sorry you have had some bad news; how-ever until some testing is done, and I would suggest by a specialist, hang on to that it is something different. I'm not sure if you made a "typo" on spay at 14 weeks but that is exceedingly young to spay, and if that spay was recent, could easily result in a temporary throat irritation, or well quite frankly more serious damage to the throat from the intubation insertion/presence and extraction. There is an article in the library that let's you hear the different sounds a dog makes for reverse sneezing, CT and other types of coughs. Also it would be a great assist to video tape your puppy when she is doing that coughing. I wish for the best with your new pup and hope this "condition" is very treatable.

thank you and i did read yesterday it could be the cause of the intubation from being spayed. i know right! the poor baby girl was spayed that early. the vet gave Phycox supplement to strengthen the cartilidge and i will wait till she finishes her antibiotics and then will find a specialist. the vet wants her on theophyline right away but until i know for sure im not comfortable giving her something more. shes so little and i just am so upset they spayed her so young and possibly caused this but i am praying that it is irritation and stress from being put in different homes and travel wise at such a young age. who knows exactly at what age the breeder sold her. anyone thinking i should just go ahead and get the medicine am i wrong to hold off??
