I'm so glad you went with your hunch. It saved that little girl's life. At YT, I learn something new every day. I'll pray your sweet Olivia gets better quickly.

Many thanks to all of you! Olivia will be seen by the Internal Med Vet tomorrow ... fingers crossed.

I just saw this I am so glad that your mother's/nurse intuition clicked in and you went with your instincts, and your incredible Vet team. She is so sweet whether sporting her Rapunzel locks or her pixie cut! Sending prayers for her continued improvement and hugs to you.

Thank you! I have not updated from yesterday because I am still waiting for the results on the urine protein/creatinine ratio. They added aspirin daily and fish oil every other day. Her blood pressure was fine, so we are continuing with the enalapril.

He said to keep her on what she is eating now .. Olivia has been very picky since having the liver and gall bladder issues. She is on Purina EN for now..but in December when she has her follow up ultrasound we are going to do a nutritional consult. I will be home cooking for her because there are no prescription foods that will cover both her liver and gall bladder issues...and renal.

The specialist called. There is some improvement in Olivia's UPC but not enough; so they are increasing her dose of Enalapril.
She will be retested in two weeks.

Your little girl is precious in both her short and long cut!! I am so sorry to hear that she is going through this, and I will keep both of you in my prayers!!

Just checked in for an update. It's going to be a long two weeks waiting for the retest. Until then, I'll just keep praying the new Enalapril dose works for her.

Thank you. I am actually very hopeful. She is in a much better place than she was just a few weeks ago. She really scared me..

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers for my Olivia. She is doing well....taking her meds and eating well!
She has a follow up appointment on Tuesday, October 30th....this will be for blood work and her blood pressure. Will know more at that time about her response to the meds for the PLN.
As for her liver and gall bladder, she will have an ultrasound in December. She is not exhibiting any pain or other symptoms of problems, so hopefully she is improving.

Just now reading about Olivia. She is in our prayers and we're hoping her recovery goes as planned. You are in our thoughts and prayers as well, we know how hard it is on mom when the baby is sick.
