| ![]() I know its been a while since you posted this thread, but I was wondering how Cookie was doing? Last time we talked, our babies were going through the same thing. Hopefully you have found some answers for Cookie! Update on Cruz: In October, we switched cruz's food to Hills/LD and changed his heartworm to revolution (did not like heartguard and still no interceptor). He did great! He went past his normal seizure pattern (3months) seizure free. He almost made it 120 days!!! His bile acids also have gone down! I could finally sleep, I really thought we were on the right track. In feb, Cruz had a grand mal seizure and then another one the next day. I was heartbroken, he had never had them that close together and he was seizure free for so long. We took him to the vet and they tested his sugar which was normal and ran a full blood panel. All came back good. Then last night he had some type of episode. It wasn't like his regular seizures but more like a tremor. He was sitting up shaking like he was scared but he was very aware. He even walked down the hallway to see where my husband was going. The last time he did this it was right before the seizure started. Then after a few minutes it stopped and he seemed fine. I been going back and forth for the last month trying to figure out what I should do next. Is it his liver? Is he just epileptic? Do we need to address meds now? I felt like I wasn't really getting these answers from my vet and decided to see another (we have an apt tomorrow). Maybe he won't have any either but then I won't second guess myself anymore. Anyways- I am really curious to see how Cookie is doing. Back when we last talked Cruz and Cookie had so many similar symptoms all starting at the same age too! Hope all is well! -Nicole & Cruz |

| ![]() How is cookie and Cruz doing? My baby peanut just turned 3 in November and I have been experiencing the same things.. She shakes after she eats and wanders aimlessly. It's so hard to watch and i haven't been able to sleep. Her bile acid was post 45. She had an ultrasound but no liver shunt was present. She did however have a temp of 104 and had a UTI. She's been on antibiotics for a few days now but I'm wondering if that's the reason she shakes after eating .. She also does this crazy thing with her tongue it vibrates like a lizard super quick. I showed my vet and she said that is was not panting.. And that its not normal .. Is it a form of a seizure??? |
