I am sorry I have missed your thread these past few days. Been occupied with getting ready for surgery. I am so glad Wylie is on the mend and walking around and YES even pooped for you!!! lol Hoping you have a good report when you visit the vet for his check up!

Look at his poor behind - all shaved! It's like a reverse mullet - party in the front, business in the back - poor baby! Wylie requests you don't show this to the female furs on here bc his man-package is totally exposed.

Our vet suggested tuna in oil to help fignt the "constipation" caused by the pain meds. Hope this helps

. If only! We mostly use pee pads, so in this case we're kind of lucky bc we don't have to take him outside to get him to pee (ie, I'd rather not have him around any dirt etc outside right now).

He finally peed again last night - it was like the Great Lakes on that pee pad! He must've been so relieved.

This morning was so funny...I propped him on his pillow while I was fixing their breakfast, and I held his bowl for him to eat. Then I found him in his "office" (his day spot, in our den/library)...so he had walked into there as well, to assume his central-command-day-position. So, he's doing just great...the doc will be thrilled that he's taking a few steps

Oh my goodness! Poor Wylie!!! I can't believe he's already walking around. Jamie may need LP surgery in the not so far away future, but I know that he could never be on crate lockdown for 6 weeks. He would be MISERABLE. I'm glad to know that there are doctors that are encouraging you to get them up and moving. Give Wylie lots of hugs and puppy kisses from us!

Checking in & see Wylie is doing well after his bilat. LP surgery. He's being very brave if he's up walking & pooping. What a guy!

Needin' nother pic of the little patient! How is he progressing now? You are going to have to end up tying a 5# dumbell around his neck to keep him slowed down! Way to go, Wylie!

yeah Wylie, glad he is peg legging it around your house.
if you have trouble getting him to keep moving now that he has is appetite, try letting him see you put a treat down in the distance.

Doin' good today

! He got his wraps off yesterday afternoon - and the vet said he looks better than most at this stage, so yay! He's still getting used to his balance without those wraps on, but we're so impressed. For now, it's just short little walks to the pee pad and to his food and btwn rooms...otherwise he needs to stay quiet; no jumping, running etcetera.

I will post another piccie later today. He says thank you for all the sweet thoughts - it's probably why he's doing so well
