| Sudden onset of Excessive Panting!? Hello again fellow YTers! My little man has a broken leg and has had surgery and the whole nine yards. He is being seen by his vet weekly now until his leg is completely healed. Today though, out of the blue we noticed him excessively panting. He has plenty of water in his bowl and doesn't go get some when we put him down. And it is not hot at all in our house. I have researched and researched online and it says that it can be a sign or symptom of a serious condition or that it could just mean that he is in severe pain. I am wondering if he is not in pain because of his leg because the panting is not continuous. It comes in spurts. He will pant for a while then lay down and rest for a while then pant a while and rest a while and so on and so forth. Please if anyone knows what could be causing this suddenly out of nowhere or someone who has had a similar experience, give me your advice! Thanks, Taylor |

| What happend to your pup? I thought you had a female in heat last you posted? I'm confused, how many pups do you have? Are you breeding? Taylor I wouldn't want to give you any advice specifically about a pup under weekly care of a vet other than to say, please call your vet first thing tomorrow regarding this sudden onset of panting...could be medication related, stress related, pain related...You need to discuss with vet.. Keep us posted, I hope the poor lil guy gets well soon...
