| loss of smell.... I have a 12 year old yorkie and he has always been a picky eater but in the past week it has gotten worse. He does not want to eat his dog food so I boil him chicken, turkey, and hamburger. However he will only eat it when its just off the stove. He drinks just fine and goes potty, so can he just be losing his smell?? and what is the best way to get him to eat? Other then this he is in really good helth, he had a liver problem but has been on meds for a few months and seems better. I cant get him to a vet til tuesday and wanted some stuff to try or think about. Thanks Camio & Gus |

| A 50/50 mix of chicken and white rice would be good... I'd stay away from the turkey and hamburger for a dog with any liver issues.

| I wouldn't feed him hamburger or turkey. Have you thought about switching his food to something else? What type of kibble are you feeding him?

| At the moment it keeps changing, He had been eating canned food from Merrick and now he has been eating Deli Fresh. He doesn't have many teeth so he has to eat soft foods. The vet said that his smell might not be as good as it once was but they couldnt find anything wrong with him other then he is just being super picky! |

| My dog is a picky eater in general. You should try Sojos. It's grain free, loaded with veggies and other good stuff. My dog loves it and gets super excited at dinnertime.

| Thank you! I will! I hate changing his food all the time, If I could find something he would keep eating it would make us both happy. |
