| Luxating Patella My poor rescue dog Molly is five years old and I have only had a month. During the first coulple of week I noticed that she sometimes limped on her back left leg or held it up. I took her to the vet and he suspected a luxating patella but gave me a seven day course of anti-inflamitary tablets to see if there was any improvement. Unfortunately there was not and she has to have surgery on Wednesday to make the knee joint bigger so that the patella will sit in firmly and then pinned. As anyone out there experienced this with their baby and any suggestions for the after care. The vet has said Molly will let me know when she wants to walk and the recovery period is 4 to 6 weeks. We are going on holiday for a couple of days the following week. HELP PLEASE |
