Sending prayers up for Sophia tomorrow. I pray for her surgery to be a success and her recovery to go smoothly. I also am sending prayers for Mommy too..I have you both in my thoughts and prayers.

Sophia is on the prayer list and I will be waiting for a good report saying she's awake and has gooooood knee now. I love to hear the news later on LP surgeries about how well they are doing! She'll be so glad to be able not to hurt. Can't wait for that progress report on Sophia. Hope you can sleep tonight - you need your rest.

Thanks so much everyone. The doctor will call me when she is out of surgery. She should go in at about 2:00. Dropping her off was hard of course. She is so good and sweet, so trusting. Praying for good results.

I'm praying for Sophia and you! I'll be in your shoes eventually with Mojo and I can imagine how scary this is for you. Big hugs & can't wait to hear how she's doing later!

Just talked to the doctor. She said Sophia did great during the surgery and all went well! Yay! I'm so relieved. She will stay the night there on a morphine drip...so she will be pretty out of it and will probably sleep most of the time.

She also had a tiny little cyst on her neck that we had removed. That also went well.

The vet said Sophia is doing "okay" this morning. She is not using her back legs at all, which is not abnormal. She said we will need to help her support her back end with a towel sling until she can support herself.

She is showing anxiety in her kennel...but the doctor said that is better than showing extreme pain. (She is obviously in pain too, of course.) All of this is not abnormal.

She didn't go into surgery until about 3:30 yesterday. They had a few emergency situations that pushed her surgery time back a little. So, she should be ready to come home around 2:00.

Please, if there is any advice or tips for her post surgery care that you can offer, it would be greatly appreciated. The vet will go over things with me of course, but I value the expert Yorkie advice here as well.

Thank you for your support and prayers. I appreciate and love you all so much!
